Stentor Video No. 13

Also known as the "trumpet animalcule," Stentor is one of the largest cilated protozoans. The organisms generally spend their lives attached to a surface, but can use their cilia to move to other places when necessary. Cilia lining the "trumpet" beat rhythmically, drawing food into the mouth of the organism.
