Chydorus Video No. 1
T1/DSL/Cable Stream
Chydorus is a cladoceran, a group of tiny crustaceans, most of which live in fresh water. It is one of the many types of water fleas and is related to the well-known Daphnia. Like most water fleas, Chydorus is a filter feeder, consuming tiny pieces of organic material. It prefers quiet waters and can be found living among underwater weeds, although some species of this genus live in sediments.
