28k Stream
Mites belonging to the suborder Oribatida, also called "beetle" or "box" mites, are one of the world's most numerous arthropods found living in soil. Although most species live in soil or forest litter, and play an important role in decomposing organic matter, four families of oribatids contain species that live in or on the water.
