The Great State of Maine

The Great State of Maine

This miniature map of the state of Maine was discovered on a National Semiconductor DP83223A Twister transceiver that we removed from a twisted-pair 10 Mbit Ethernet card. Inside the map there appears to be a sailboat and a lighthouse situated on top of a coastal mountain with waves breaking around the base. There also appears to be 4 "birds" (or maybe Cruise missiles) flying around, two in front of the mountain and two in the "sky". The map also has a star by the city of South Portland, where the fabrication plant is located that (we believe) designed and built the chip.
