Silicon Mouse

Silicon Mouse

A miniature silicon mouse whose tail forms the initials RBP was discovered on an old East German memory chip made during the Cold War period. It may be that this mouse was placed on the integrated circuit as a playmate for the German Mask Cat we have discovered on similar chips. The wafer was loaned to us by Marcus Jacob of the Precision Engineering Division of the University of Applied Sciences, in Jena.
