The Cabin Cruiser

The Cabin Cruiser

This tiny rendition of a pleasure-boat cabin cruiser was discovered on an SGS-Thomson integrated circuit. This is the same chip that houses the USS Silicon Seawolf submarine and the Anchor Jet. At 20 microns in length, this is one of the smaller silicon doodles in the Silicon Zoo.

This photomicrograph was derived from a chip housed in the Smithsonian Institution integrated circuit collection (Sequent computer - catalog number: 1997.0330.018A).
