Kanamycin (Kantrex)

Kanamycin is a water-soluble aminoglycoside antibiotic that is derived from the bacterium Streptomyces kanamyceticus. The drug has a very low adsorption rate in the intestine and is used only for topical effect. Side effects are nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
