MIPS Chip Designer Kevin Kuhn

MIPS Chip Designer Kevin Kuhn

Chip designers often place their initials and/or names on the masks used in chip fabrication. We found MIPS chip designer Kevin Kuhn's name along with the name Ren Jia Zhen (the Chinese characters), who we assume is also a mask designer, on the MIPS R4400 pre-shrink die. Kevin is the designer responsible for placing the Florida State University logos of Chief Osceola and the Lady Seminoles on the MIPS R12000 microprocessor.
