Doxycycline (Vibramycin)

Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is industrially derived from a well-defined tetracycline derivative by synthetic modification. Commonly marketed under the trade name Vibramycin, this pharmaceutical agent has recently become a favorite for prophylaxis and treatment of anthrax. Side effects include upset stomach, diarrhea, nausea, headache, and vomiting.
