Silicon Image Logo

Silicon Image Logo

A miniature rendition of the Silicon Image corporate logo was spotted in the pad ring of an integrated circuit manufactured by the company. The chip is a SIL54CT64 digital transmitter and also contains a silicon doodle of the famous Simpson's cartoon character Milhouse. Being neatly positioned within a pad, this tiny logo made in silicon is one of the most elegant we have seen.

The chip containing this artwork was loaned to us by Chipworks, a company that is an international provider of reverse engineering services, analyzing the circuitry and physical composition of semiconductor chips and electronics systems for competitive study, intellectual property support, and reliability assurance.
