IT'S THE STAY PUFT MARSHMALLOW MAN! DANGER! DANGER!

05/07/99 Remember that microchip they found with Mr. Stay Puft etched into it? Well according to Molecular Expressions Silicon Zoo he's appeared a number of times on other Weitek chips. And better yet, they have a new, clearer picture of him. What's interesting is that some people have claimed that it's not Mr. Stay Puft, but the robot from the original Lost in Space.

01/10/99 Yes, that was a pretty lame headline, but I'm still laughing at it.
Basically, Michael Davidson, a photographer of microscopic items, discovered that computer chip designers often add little hidden pictures on their chips. They likely never thought anyone would ever see them (the pictures being mere microns in size). However once Davidson found Waldo, literally, on a chip, he began looking at every chip he could find. And on a calculator chip, made in 1988, he found the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
