General Instrument Chips

General Instrument is a communications corporation specializing in integrated and interactive broadband access solutions including the Internet, telecommunications, and the video entertainment industries. Their logo, as seen above, appears on many of the company's integrated circuits. This chip is the one upon which the CamelSega icon appears.

This photomicrograph was derived from a chip housed in the Smithsonian Institution integrated circuit collection (Sequent computer - catalog number: 1994.0760.018A).
